Wendy's Secret Garden

Like I have said a million and one times...finding the little treasures of such well-known cities is what makes me love to travel. Wendy's Secret Garden was another one of these treasures that brought me back to my childhood.
The Secret Garden was my favorite movie in the entire world to watch with my Grandma when I was younger. I will never forget begging her to put it on every time I came over. What made me enjoy it, even more, was most likely the fact that we would eat Neopolitan ice cream in waffle cones every time also!
The enchanting details in this garden amongst lots of concrete and chaos made me feel like I was in another world and perhaps even that movie. Amazingly enough, Wendy is actually a real person and this is really her garden. When her husband past away, she transformed her grief of death into an abundance of life! The garden is how she learned to cope with her loss and it has turned into a remarkable place in Lavender Bay.
The garden leads down to the harbor, where there are amazing views of downtown Sydney and the Harbour Bridge along with a small, charming beach town! I almost passed up the opportunity to check out Wendy's Secret Garden, but I cannot tell you enough how much I enjoyed it!
